The Boating Group have been fortunate in arranging a small THS at this gem of a site right on the waters edge of Lake Coniston. Most pitches are next to the lake, although screened with tree’s and shrubs.

There are several launching area’s suitable for small sailing craft, inflatables, kayaks and boards. We have been able to negotiate fees which include the use of toilets and showers (which are quite basic but clean) and launching for 1 boat. The pitches are all commercial hard standing ones not on a separate rally field. A social programme will be arranged.

The site is situated within a short 10 min walk from the Pier Head where the launch and historic Gondola sails from.

Off road, low level walks and cycling around the lake is from the site. This is also a perfect location for higher level and mountain hikes with Tarn Hows and Coniston Old Man close by.

A 10 min walk and you will be in the village of Coniston with a range of shops, cafes and pubs. There is a regular bus service to Hawkshead and Ambleside, the bus stop being just outside the campsite.

Only a limited number of pitches are available so early booking is recommended.
